Jack Swoll delivered another memorable performance this weekend, battling to eighth overall in the three-race Triple Crown format at Indianapolis’ Lucas Oil Stadium aboard his Triumph Factory Racing TF 250-X. Jordon Smith raced to 11th in 450SX at round nine of the season.

After concluding race one in ninth place, Swoll's second race stood as his standout moment in Indianapolis, after he claimed the holeshot aboard his TF 250-X and led for five laps. The number 56 looked incredibly comfortable at the front of the field, his efforts only thwarted by an untimely crash. Remounting quickly, he raced across the finish line in seventh to complement his earlier result.

Such consistency put him in a position to battle for a top five in the overall classification, therefore, emphasis was placed on 250SX East's last race. Another holeshot, a testament to the power in his TF 250-X, put him in a superb position, as he again led for three laps before settling into second place. Losing a handful of positions in the final two laps, he crossed the finish line in fifth for eighth overall on the night.

Indianapolis marked a poignant moment in Smith's return to top form, as he demonstrated impressive pace once again and moved closer to the top ten in Supercross' premier class. The Triumph rider pushed forward in the opening event, climbing from 15th to 11th at the flag. However, a crash in the whoops dropped him down the order in race two, but he regrouped to finish 14th.

With the track at its trickiest, Smith executed his best race of the evening at the last opportunity. Consistent laps and competitive times carried him to eighth at the chequered flag. Those points put him 11th in the 450SX's overall classification, a significant step forward in what is just his third outing aboard the Triumph TF 450-X.

Triumph Factory Racing will take advantage of a break in the AMA Supercross schedule, using the weekend off to improve performance before the championship resumes in Alabama on March 21.

Jalek Swoll:

"It was a better day! We are trending in the right direction. It's still not the result that I want, but I feel that I did all I could. I was happy to get some good starts and lead laps. I feel like that's what it takes to build yourself back up. The first race wasn't great, but I was more like myself in the last two. There is still some work to do, but I feel like getting to that pace is very doable."

Jordon Smith:

"It felt good to get three gate drops and more motos in. I needed that experience. I felt better each time, and we have made great improvements on the bike. I felt more comfortable, so we can put some more motos in at home and come back swinging after the break."

Jeremy Coker – General Manager, Triumph Racing America:

"Tonight was a massive step in the right direction for the team. I am beyond proud of the riders but more so the crew that is behind them. They worked super hard this week to make improvements on the bikes, and it showed. Two holeshots for Jalek and multiple laps led – that gave him a taste of what it takes up front and he will get there. Jordon got better each time he hit the track tonight and finished off with an eighth in the last race. We will take all these positives and work hard during this break. We will be prepared for Birmingham."
