East Coast Supercross Welcomes Triumph’s Jordon Smith and Jalek Swoll
Racing Triumph Motorcycles 23rd Feb 2026

This weekend the seventh round of the 2026 AMA Supercross series kicked off its East Coast leg, with racing action taking place at Arlington. Jordan Smith made his 450SX debut on the Triumph Factory Racing TF 450-X, after returning from a shoulder injury. Meanwhile Jalek Swoll made his first appearance of 2026 aboard the Triumph TF 250-X.

Smith appeared inside of the top five at points in qualification, showing potential despite limited bike time since his injury. Transferring into the main event directly out of his heat, he started the race in the top 15. A series of small crashes impacted his end result; which saw him finish 19th in his 450SX debut.

In the 250SX East, Swoll transferred into the main event with ease; he battled to third place in his heat race, narrowly missing out on the top spot. Starting the main in the lower half of the top ten, he was poised to charge towards the front but was caught out on in the whoop section, where he crashed out after having to take evasive action to avoid another rider who crossed in front of him. Swoll did remount his TF 250-X, but withdrew from the event and will turn his attention to the next round.

The iconic Daytona International Speedway will host the eighth stop of 2026 AMA Supercross on February 28. Jordon Smith and Jalek Swoll will be joined by SMX Next star Deacon Denno under the Triumph Factory Racing banner.

Jordon Smith:

"I'm happy to be back at the races. It was a tricky day for me. Qualification went pretty well; I was happy with the speed. The main event was a tough one. The track was gnarly and I had a couple of falls. I've not had long on the bike, so we'll head home and continue to build."

Jalek Swoll:

"I rode a little tight in my heat race, but I loosened up for the main event. I made quick passes and felt pretty good. I had a racing incident in the whoops – another rider came over on me and I had a crash. I would have loved to finish the race to have the laps under my belt, but the bike was a little bent up. I'm looking forward to Daytona."

Jeremy Coker – General Manager, Triumph Racing America:

"Tonight was one of the toughest tracks I have seen in a long time, which threw a lot of challenges for all the riders. Sadly it was not the start to 250SX East that we wanted or needed. Jordon showed strong promise, despite the results not fully reflecting, but we will continue to build on the positives. The team and the riders have a plan of attack moving into the next week with how to improve. We will all hold our heads high and strive to show the world that Triumph belongs at the front."
